State of Maryland Contracts with Socialserve.com

CHARLOTTE, NC (March 15, 2007) – The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development and the Maryland Department of Human Resources have chosen Socialserve.com to build and support MDHousingSearch.org, a statewide listing service for affordable rental housing. This new service will greatly enhance Maryland’s current registry of affordable and accessible housing.

Landlords have been adding listings since early February 2007, and today the free-to-use housing search option has been activated for the public. Tenants seeking housing should visit www.MDHousingSearch.org or call 1-877-428-8844 for assistance.

Maryland is excited to join the growing movement of cities, counties and states contracting with Socialserve.com for top-notch, call-center-supported affordable housing services.
