November 2013 – WHOTV in Des Moines, IA, ran an informative story to raise awareness of IowaHousingSearch.org, the new, comprehensive service linking Iowa renters with affordable housing units.

IowaHousingSearch.org, part of the network of housing locators powered by the national nonprofit Socialserve.com, launched on November 1 for landlords to list. The search for tenants will open statewide in January 2014.

IowaHousingSearch.org will be a constantly updated database of affordable rentals for the Hawkeye State. Searchable, sortable listings will link to interactive maps and often include pictures and extensive details about utilities, pet friendliness and accessibility features as well as information about neighborhood amenities like schools, medical facilities and public transit. It will always be free to list and search for housing.
