Sept. 6, 2012 – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA) are working with nonprofit housing services provider Socialserve.com to help survivors of Hurricane Isaac.

FEMA and MEMA ask that Mississippi landlords list rental vacancies immediately with the free Socialserve.com housing locator service. Assistance workers will be searching this service daily to help people displaced by the storm to find stable housing.

Landlords can call 1-877-428-8844 (toll free), Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. Central Time, or go to www.socialserve.com and click “List a Property” and then “Mississippi.”

Socialserve.com will also add all listings to the FEMA listing of recovery units to ensure maximum availability of housing information for displaced residents.

For questions or assistance with listings, call 1-877-428-8844 (toll free).
